Does anyone think we need a Medical Practice Project Manager? Is that something anyone covers now? When I say Project Manager, I mean someone that handles mergers, transitions and acquisitions. Let me know what you think.
If you know such a person, that sounds like an interesting idea. If they basically quarterback the transitions and acquisitions, our group could be a valuable resource.
I think a few of our members deal with the CFO types with plans of expanding, acquisitions, and procuring large expenditures. It is very valuable to know when the practices are looking into these plans as we can help them through the budget process and help them build the financial models with realistic numbers. Does that make sense?
They are infamous for handling such deals in the medical community.
I also team up with the managers to help with the financial pieces of these transitions (i.e. how to fund a partnership agreement / buy-sell agreements) etc.
